For years, Boys & Girls Club of America has looked at different ways to harness the power of our entire Movement to create greater awareness of local clubs and enable them to raise more operating dollars.
In 2005 a uniform strategy was implemented in Boys & Girls Club affiliates throughout the country. The new strategy has been dubbed, "One" Campaign which designates a specific period of time to approach donors for support. The overall goal is to increase private sector fundraising in order to offset current and future operating expenses.
The John Avery Boys & Girls Club kicked off its "One" Campaign in January 2005 with a fundraising goal of $65,000. On average, it takes $200 per child, per year to run a Boys & Girls Club. Your dollars will help expand our after-school program and help offset current and future operating expenses.
