To inspire and enable all youth of Durham, ages 6-18, particularly those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

FUNDING OUR LIFEWORK

The John Avery Boys & Girls Club (JABGC) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and protecting children while preserving the beauty and innocence of childhood. JABGC daily serves approximately 500 children every year through After-School and Summer FUN Camp. John Avery aims to make a fundamental difference in the lives of all youth, but especially those who need guidance the most by providing a safe alternative for youth between the ages of 6 and 18.

The John Avery Boys & Girls Club has been a steadfast champion in securing the prosperity of our children by offering life and educational lessons as the foundation for future triumphs. Charging no more than $10.00 a year, we provide a unique After-School experience that helps students academically and in making good life decisions.  This important service that John Avery provides is not achieved alone. Only through a collaborative effort with local businesses, area charities, philanthropic groups and generous residents has John Avery formed a network of Champions for the most worthy cause of all; securing the futures of our children.

The John Avery Boys & Girls Club is governed by a Board of Directors made up of community volunteers and leaders who willingly give their time and talents to ensure that our members have a bright future.
